Atmospheric musical compositions combining tones of acoustic instruments (piano, marimba, viola, double bass) and minimalist electronic music were created during Jiří Trtík and Piotr Kaliński’s residency at the Czech Center in Warsaw. The composers jointly organized a performance in Warsaw as an accompaniment to the Czech film Extase by Gustav Machatý and together with the STRO.MY Ensemble in Prague.

Piotr Kaliński is a musician, composer and music producer originally from Gdańsk. Member of Hinode Tapes, Hatti Vatti and Nanook of the North. He works on the border of ambient, neoclassical and original electronics. Author of the music for the films “Slow Light” and “Now Listen” directed by K. Kijek / P. Adamski. He gives concerts and releases albums all over the world – from the USA, through Europe to Japan. Associated with the German label Denovali Records, the Belgian R&S Records and the Polish Instant Classic.
