The \u201cModerna\u201d music series presents local composers in the field of modern classical music.<\/p>\n
It presents artists who are looking for new directions in music with the longest tradition. Like the world\u2019s big names Nils Frahm, \u00d3lafur Arnalds, Max Richter, J\u00f3hann J\u00f3hannsson, Hildur Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir or Joep Beving, the local scene also offers some interesting names. Karel Havlicek, for example, is a prominent musician who will perform on Sunday 16 October in the hall of the Pr\u00e1vnick\u00e1 fakulta UK in Prague with the Stro.my Ensemble under the direction of conductor Ji\u0159\u00ed Trt\u00edk.<\/p>\n
Karel Havl\u00ed\u010dek is a composer and sound designer. At the end of 2020, he released the album Spoken. \u201cIt is the result of the deepest thoughts, emotions and stories that reflect my life and experiences from two completely different parts of the world,\u201d says Karel Havl\u00ed\u010dek about the album, which he recorded for two years in studios in Prague and Los Angeles.
\nModern classical or non-classical, as this genre is called, is strongly supported by strong \ufb01lm moods, which are very close to Karel\u2019s heart thanks to his work for fiction or documentary \ufb01lms, as well as TV series and \ufb01lm trailers (HBO Europe \u2013 Mammon, Therapy, \u010cT \u2013 Rabies or the \ufb01lms Ghoul, Carpe Noctem, Lion Ark or the trailers for Reminiscence or The Batman).<\/p>\n
Stro.my Ensemble was founded in 2021 with the idea of the premiere project Concert for the Forest.
